September at Edinburgh Villa

Scotlands doors open days continues through September with many fee paying attractions being free as well as historical sites, usually closed to the public, opening their doors on certain days to the public. Edinburghs open doors weekend is the 26th and 27th September and you can read what's on in this brochure.

We snapped some photos of our vacation house in Edinburgh this week, when the sun was brightly shining! The garden's looking lovely, roses have bloomed, some late colour remaining on the Hydrangeas and Hypericums...

Autumn bookings for Edinburgh Vacation Rentals

The summer season and Edinburgh Festival is over. Celebrated Sunday night with a 45 minute display of fireworks over Edinburgh Castle. I managed to take a few photos of the fireworks from my rooftop and you can just see the outline of the castle.

We are starting to receive quite a few enquiries for 2010, with July and August booking up at our Edinburgh Holiday House already. 2010 rates have now been added, so visit our website and book your 2010 visit to Edinburgh today! We have just taken on a wonderful city centre apartment as a holiday rental. We now have a 4 bedroom, 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom holiday accommodation to offer guests to Edinburgh!

This new apartment is a slightly different in that's it's very close to the Royal Mile, just a 5 minute walk. It's also a contemporary style, with stunning views over parkland and beyond. 2 lovely sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, internet, fully fitted kitchen, perfect for 2 couples travelling together.

Edinburgh Holiday Lets Rates

Our Edinburgh holiday rental rates for 2010 have just been added to the Edinburgh Villa website. Enquire and book early to avoid disappointment! We now seem to be booking up months ahead of time, August, New Year and other holidays seem to book up about 9 months before! This will be our 4th year of rentals and we work hard on providing you, our guests, with first class accommodation and service.

Our Edinburgh city centre flat which was new for this year has been loved by all and I have just updated the garden flats guest book with July reviews. Guests have been commenting on how much they enjoy a morning coffee in the patio and love the Stockbridge area. The 2nd hand shops have been mentioned by many for the great deals to be found. These shops sell clothing, brik a brak, antiques, paintings etc.

June is usually a lovely time of year to vacation in Edinburgh, the Royal Highland Show is held in June every year in Ingliston. This is a huge event with tents of wonderful crafts to buy, food tasting, competitions, Scottish dancing, exhibitions and much more!

A trip to the Isle of Mull

If you're thinking of spending a few weeks in Scotland I'd highly recommend a few days stay in the Isle of Mull with it's breathtaking scenery. Roads are generally single track, sheep rule the road.. and sometimes the cows do too...

Edinburgh Accommodation in August

January is the busiest month for receiving holiday rental enquiries and we've been extremely busy! Our Edinburgh Villa is now fully booked for August however we do have availability at our Georgian Apartment and our Garden Flat.

We have just updated our website with more photos of the garden flat, it's now nearly complete and will be available for rentals from February, just in time for the February holidays!

If you're visiting Edinburgh this winter you may wish to research 'Dine around Edinburgh 2009' which runs until late February. Participating restaurants offer discounts on two course meals. Restaurants include The Atrium on Cambridge Street, Hendersons on Hanover Street, Howies and The Stockbridge Restaurant. Further information can be found here

2009 Edinburgh Vacation Rentals

January is generally the busiest month for bookings and enquiries and it seems that this year is no different! Our Edinburgh Villa receives bookings daily. If you would like to stay at this villa or any of our other properties this year, do contact us!

The Christmas festival and German markets have now been removed from Princes Street. Next celebration will be the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns Birth!
