Edinburgh City Centre Vacation Flat

Our newest addition to the Edinburgh vacation rental market is the garden flat. Which we are currently working on redecorating and refurnishing. It's coming along just lovely and the master bedroom is nearly done. Just need the television for in there and it's all set!

The flat is located on the doorstep of shops, bistros, restaurants, antiques, parks, yet it's extremely quiet with being located at the back of the building. 2 large picture windows overlook the garden and there is private outdoor seating too.

The Garden Flat sleeps 4 people and will be available for rental from late December. Further information on this flat, our Georgian flat and the holiday house can be found at our Edinburgh holiday villa website.

Special Edinburgh Rates and Edinburgh Decorated for the holidays

The Dome, a popular bar and restaurant in a spectacular building on George street has recently been decorated for the holidays.

Their Christmas Menus are available on selected dates during December and a Christmas Lunch costs £30.00 per person, Christmas Dinner £35.00 per person.

For those wishing to dine and dance, christmas dinners and discos are being held in the Georgian Suite at a cost of £40.00 per person.

Book our Edinburgh Vacation Rental for early December and receive a complimentary box of Scottish chocolates. The house is also decorated for the holidays, the tree isn't quite as impressive as the Domes! -

Christmas in Edinburgh & Castle Events

This December the Edinburgh Castle will be holding its annual Christmas show on Sunday December 07th, Time: 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm. Meet Father Christmas along with music and shows.

The entire month of December in Edinburgh offers German markets, fun fairs and a city centre ferris wheel, pantomimes, santa grottoes, ice skating in Princes Street Gardens, and much more! Edinburgh Christmas lights are switched on late November and the festivities last through to Hogmanays (New year) four day festival! Both The Edinburgh Villa and The Georgian Apartment are decorated for the holiday season with a Christmas Tree.

There will also be a Christmas carol Sunday in Edinburgh Castles Great Hall. Sun 14 December 2008, 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm. Free admission for Historic Scotland members.

Child Friendly Pubs in Edinburgh

We are currently working on a webpage which will assist those travelling to Edinburgh with children on which Edinburgh pubs and bars are child friendly! Hopefully we will be able to add menus to our website too and this may help you plan ahead - webpage should be finished mid November.

October Holiday in Edinburgh Last Minute Availability

Our Edinburgh Vacation House is booked for the October holidays but we do have availability at the Georgian Apartment Vacation Rental -

We can highly recommend Mary Poppins for anyone visiting the Edinburgh area. The show is on until December and is truly spectacular. Tickets are still available from the Edinburgh Playhouse Box Office. It's quite a long show, the one we went to started at 7:30 and we didn't get out until 10:30 so remember this if you are going with small children, you may prefer the matinee!

Both the Apartment and House have November availability, a great month for Edinburgh Christmas shopping.

Edinburgh Late Deals and What's On

From the 28th November until the 3rd January, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe will be on stage at the Royal Lyceum Theatre. Good tickets are still available (we just bought some!). Last Minute Special Edinburgh Vacation Rental!

We've just added a £100 off any remaining week in 2008 to our Edinburgh Villa Vacation Home. We will honour this for the Edinburgh Georgian flat too (excluding Christmas and New Year), which happens to be booked for the villa but still available at the time of this blog at the Apartment.

Just added new testimonials to the villa About Us page too, and took a photo of the guest book which is starting to fill up nicely after we placed the book in the kitchen. For a while it wasn't being completed by guests leaving and we discovered that most forgot to write in it as they left if it was in the living room. Guests would email with reviews, but we do like to read them in our guest books too!

Edinburgh Villa Website Update

We've just added new photos to our Edinburgh Vacation Rental in Murrayfield, Edinburgh. One of our single bedrooms is inspired by the well known Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. A quick train trip to Glasgow and you'll be able to visit the famous tea rooms he designed as well as the art college and a one off church with carvings and magnificent typical rennie design - if you wish to plan such a day do contact us and we can assist with planning a Glasgow visit.
